About

About Spiritual & Supernatural

Welcome to Spiritual & Supernatural. Away from hotels, I have always been interested in how people across cultures make sense of dreams, signs, luck and meaning. I started this blog as a personal space to read about and explain those ideas. I write about them the way I would talk to a friend: respectfully, with curiosity, and without asking anyone to believe something they are not comfortable with.

What this blog covers

  • beginner-friendly meditation, breathing and mindfulness practices
  • dreams and lucid dreaming, explained with what science does and does not know
  • symbols, numbers and folklore from different cultures, presented as belief and tradition
  • popular questions about the mind, reality and the universe, from the simulation idea to time travel
  • self-reflection, body language and everyday habits for a calmer, more focused life

The blog is written for curious readers who enjoy spirituality, folklore and big questions about the mind and the universe, and who like a thoughtful, balanced explanation rather than hype.

Who runs this blog

I am Sumit Manwal, a hotelier from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, with more than 20 years in the hospitality industry. In 2017 I founded Hospitality Vacancy, a job platform that connects hotel professionals with hotels, resorts and restaurants in India and abroad. My work has been recognised with the Excellence in Hospitality Sector of Uttarakhand award (January 2023) and the Dainik Jagran inext Uttarakhand Ratan Samman for Excellence in Hospitality & Education (2023).

This blog is a personal interest project and is separate from my hotel career writing. For hotel management notes, career advice and hotel jobs, please visit my main blog or Hospitality Vacancy (links below).

How I write

  • I present spiritual and supernatural topics as belief, folklore, philosophy or personal practice, not as proven fact.
  • Where science has something to say (for example on sleep, dreams or physics), I say so plainly and separate it from tradition.
  • I do not make health, medical or financial promises, and I do not sell readings, spells, charms or remedies.
  • I update or remove posts that turn out to be wrong or unclear.
